THE BRUHAT BENGALURU MAHANAGARA PALIKE ACT, 2020

This Act was repealed on 15 May 2025 by the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2024 (Karnataka Act 36 of 2025), s.361(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.

14. Electoral rolls.- (1) For every ward, there shall be an electoral roll which shall be prepared, revised, modified, updated and published in accordance with the provisions of this Act and under the superintendence, direction and control of State Election Commission. (2) Only one Councillor shall be elected for each ward and election shall be by secret ballot. (3) A person whose name has been included in the electoral roll, as prepared by the State Election Commission of a ward shall be entitled to vote in an election to that ward.
