Section 99. Legal cell.

This Act was repealed on 15 May 2025 by the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2024 (Karnataka Act 36 of 2025), s.361(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
99. Legal cell.- (1) There shall be a legal cell in the corporation consisting of such number of officers possessing such qualifications as may be prescribed. (2) The corporation shall consult the legal cell on all matters pertaining to the interpretation of the provisions of this Act and the Rules, Regulations and bye-laws made there under and also in matters pertaining to the institution, defence or conduct of suits and other legal proceedings to which the corporation is a party. (3) The expenditure on the legal cell shall be met out of the corporation funds.
