Section 3. Licensing authority.

3. Licensing authority.- The authority having power to grant licences under this Act shall, in every district be the District Magistrate. Explanation.- In this section, “District Magistrate,” means the Deputy Commissioner exercising the powers of a District Magistrate or an Additional District Magistrate.
