Powers of Land Development Banks to advance loans and to hold lands.- Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder, it shall be competent for the 2[Agriculture and Rural Development Banks]2 to advance loans for the purposes referred to in section 76A, and to hold lands the possession of which is transferred to them under the provisions of this Chapter.
