Section 8. Repeal.

8. Repeal.- The Bombay Devadasis Protection Act, 1934, (Bombay Act 10 of 1934) and the Madras Devadasis (Prevention of Dedication) Act, 1947 (Madras Act 31 of 1947) are hereby repealed : Provided that section 6 of the Karnataka General Clauses Act, 1899 (Karnataka Act 3 of 1899) shall be applicable as if the said enactments are repealed and re-enacted by this Act.
