1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the 1[Karnataka]1 Electricity (Taxation on Consumption 2[or sale]2) Act, 1959. (2) It extends to the whole of the 1[State of Karnataka]1 . (3) The provisions of this Act, except section 13, shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of July, 1959.
