1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the 1[Karnataka]1 Industrial Areas Development Act, 1966. (2) It extends to the whole of the 1[State of Karnataka]1. (3) This Act except Chapter VII shall come into force at once; Chapter VII shall come into force in such area and from such 1[date]1 as the State Government may, from time to time, by notification, specify in this behalf.
