1. Short title and extent.- (1) This Act may be called the 1[Karnataka]1 Irrigation (Levy of Betterment Contribution and Water Rate) Act, 1957. (2) It extends to the whole of the 1[State of Karnataka]1. (3) It shall come into force on such 1[date]1 as the Government may by a notification appoint.
