Rent when deemed as paid and dispute regarding rent payable.—(1) Where the landlord evades receiving the rent and giving a receipt, the tenant shall be deemed to have paid the rent if he sends the same by postal money order to or deposits it with the Tahsildar. (2) A dispute between the landlord and the tenant as regards the rent payable shall, on the application of the landlord or the tenant, be determined by the Tahsildar.]1
