2. Definitions.- In this Act unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,—
(1) “Assembly” means the Legislative Assembly of the 1[State of Karnataka]1;
(2) “Council” means the Legislative Council of the 1[State of Karnataka]1;
(3) “House” means the Assembly or the Council.
