Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement.

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Karnataka Lifts, Escalators and Passenger Conveyors Act, 2012 (Karnataka Act 9 of 2013), s.25; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
1. Short title, extent and commencement.-(1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Lifts Act, 1974. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Karnataka. (3) It shall come in to force on such 1[date]1 as the Government may, by notification, appoint.
