1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the 1[Karnataka]1 Live-stock Improvement Act, 1961. (2) It extends to the whole of the 1[State of Karnataka]1. (3) It shall come into force at once in the areas in which any of the enactments repealed by section 22 is in force, and shall come into force in any other area on such 1[date]1 as the State Government may, by notification, specify.
