Section 5. Term of Office.

5. Term of Office.—The President, Vice-President and other members of the Medical Council 1[other than a member referred to in clause (d) of sub-section (2) of section 3]1 shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, hold office for a term of five years from the date of their nomination or election or until their successors have been duly nominated, or elected, whichever is longer, and shall be eligible for re-nomination, or re-election, as the case may be.
