Reduction in Salary and allowances .- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Karnataka Ministers Salaries and Allowances Act, 1956 (Karnataka Act 5 of 1957), Salary and Allowances payable to Chief Minister, Minister, Minister of State and Deputy Minister shall be reduced by thirty per cent, for a period of one year commencing from the 1St April, 2020, to meet the exigencies arising out of Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic.]1
