Section 13. Construction of reference to standing committees and chairman.

13. Construction of reference to standing committees and chairman.- (1) Whenever in this Act the expression 'standing committee' occurs it shall, unless the context otherwise requires, be deemed to refer to the particular standing committee to which the power or duty in connection with which the expression is used is assigned by or under this Act, and all references to the standing committee in any other law shall be construed as reference to the particular standing committee to which the power or duty, is conferred or imposed by such law. (2) Any reference made to a 'chairman' of the standing committee by or under this Act or under any other law shall be construed as a reference to the Chairman of the particular standing committee to which the power or duty in connection with which the reference is made is assigned by or under this Act or under such law.
