Section 24. Repeal.

24. Repeal.—The Madras Pawnbrokers Act, 1943 (Madras Act XXIII of 1943) as in force in the 1[Mangalore and Kollegal Area]1 is hereby repealed: Provided that section 6 of the 1[Karnataka]1 General Clauses Act, 1899 1[Karnataka]1 Act III of 1899) shall be applicable in respect of the repeal of the said enactment and sections 8 and 24 of the said Act shall be applicable as if the repealed enactment had been repealed and re-enacted by this Act.
