12. The Chancellor.- (1) The Governor of Karnataka shall by virtue of his office, be the Chancellor of the University. (2) He shall be the Head of the University and shall when present, preside at any convocation of the University. (3) He shall have such other powers as may be conferred on him by or under this Act.
