Section 12. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor.

12. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor.—(1) The Chancellor shall appoint a Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the University: Provided that the person thus appointed shall not be above the age of sixty. (2) The term of appointment of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be four years from the date on which he enters upon his office and shall be a whole time officer of the University. (3) The salary and other conditions of service of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be as prescribed by the Statutes. (4) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations, the powers and functions of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be determined by the Vice-Chancellor.
