Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement.

This Act was repealed on 18 June 1983 by the Kerala Preservation of Trees Act, 1986 (35 of 1986), s.26(1); that Act is deemed in force from 18 June 1983 by its s.1(3); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Restriction on Cutting and Destruction of Valuable Trees Act, 1974. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 22nd day of January, 1974.
