(60) General penalty.— 1[(1) Whoever, in any case in which a penalty is not expressly provided by this Act or any rule or regulations made thereunder, contravenes the provisions of this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder or fails to comply with any notice, order or requisition issued under this Act or any rule or regulation made there under shall be punishable with fine which may extend to 2[three thousand rupees] and in the case of a continuing failure or contravention, with an additional fine which may extend to 3[one hundred rupees] for every day on which such contravention or failure continues after the first conviction.] 4[(2) All fines imposed under this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder shall on realization be credited to the fund of the Authority.]
