Section 109. 15[Fines] for offences not provided for elsewhere.

109. 15[Fines] for offences not provided for elsewhere.— Whoever contravenes any of the provisions of this Act or of any rule made thereunder shall on conviction, if no other penalty 16[or fine] is elsewhere provided by or under this Act for such contravention, be punishable with fine which may extend to 17[ten thousand rupees] and, in the event of such person having been previously convicted of an offence under this Act or any rule made thereunder with fine which may extend to 18[twenty thousand rupees].
