Section 3-C. Wage rate.

3-C. Wage rate.— (1) The wage rate specified by the Central Government under section 6 of the Central Act shall be the wage rate for the purposes of this Act. (2) Until such time as a wage rate is fixed under sub-section (1), the minimum wage fixed by the State Government under section 3 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (11 of 1948), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, for agricultural labourers, shall be considered as the wage rate applicable to that area.
