1. (1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Forest Development (Tax on sale of forest-produce by Government or Forest Development Corporation) 2[* *] Act, 1983.
(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.
(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 7th December 1982.
