22. Certain officers to be public servants.— The members and Secretary of a Board, the Inquiry Officer and any officer or person authorised or appointed by the Board 8[or the Company], the Collector, 9[the District Superintendent Agriculture Officer] or the 10[State] Government under sub-section (2) of section 4, sub-section (1) of section 11, 11* * * section 16, 12[section 21] or sub-section (2) of section 25, as the case may be, shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Indian Penal Code (XLV of 1860).
