25. Punishment for verification of false plaint.— Any plaintiff subscribing and verifying any plaint under this Act which he either knows or believes to be false, or does not believe to be true, in any material point, shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 193 of the 6[Indian Penal Code (XLV of 1860)].
