26. General provisions applicable to medical practitioners.— The provisions of this Act are in addition to, and not in derogation of, the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (CII of 1956), and of Chapter VI of the Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act, 1961 (Mah. XXVIII of 1961), containing general provisions applicable to all medical practitioners.
