Section 476A. Punishment for using or permitting to be used without licence any place in or without 3[Brihan Mumbai] as slaughter-house.

2[476A. Punishment for using or permitting to be used without licence any place in or without 3[Brihan Mumbai] as slaughter-house.— Whoever contravenes any provisions of clause (b) or (c) of sub-section (1) of section 403 shall, on conviction, be punished,— (a) for a first offence, with fine which may extend to 4[two thousand rupees]; (b) for a second and subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 5[one year and with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees]: Provided that in the absence of special and adequate reasons to the contrary to be mentioned in the judgement of the Court, such imprisonment shall not be less than 6[two months and such fine shall not be less than four hundred rupees.].
