6[78E. Appointment of 7[Municipal Chief Accountant (Treasury)].—The Corporation shall, from time to time, appoint a fit person to be the 8[Municipal Chief Accountant (Treasury)]. He shall— (a) be the Principal Municipal Trasury Officer and keep such municipal accounts and perform such duties with regard to the municipal accounts as shall be required of him by the Corporation, the 9[Standing Committee] or the Commissioner; (b) devote his whole time and attention to the duties of his office; (c) receive such monthly salary as the Corporation shall, from time to time, with the approval of the State Government, determine; but the salary of such officer shall not be altered to his disadvantage during his period of office; (d) be removable at any time from office for misconduct, or for neglect or incapacity for the duties of his office, by the Corporation.]
