Section 24. Casual vacancies.

24. Casual vacancies.— All casual vacancies among the members of the State Board or a Divisional Board or of any Committee of a Board shall be filled as soon as may be, by election or nomination or appointment or designation, as the case may be; and the person elected, nominated or appointed or designated in a casual vacancy shall hold office so long only as the member in whose place he is elected, nominated or appointed or designated would have held it, if the vacancy had not occurred.
