60. Penalty for making false declaration on clearance list.— Any person who in a clearance list makes a declaration which is false or which he either knows or believes to be false, shall, on conviction, be punished with 5[rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than one month but which may extend to six months and with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees.]
