Section 16. Vacancy of member owing to absence without permission.

16. Vacancy of member owing to absence without permission.— If a member nominated or appointed to the Board remains absent without permission of the Board from three consecutive meetings thereof, his office shall thereupon become vacant and shall be so declared by the Chairperson.
