Section 1. Short title and commencement.

This Act was repealed on 26 February 2024 by the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2024 (Mah. 16 of 2024), s.20(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.

1. (1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra State Reservation (of seats for admission in educational institutions in the State and for appointments in the public services and posts under the State) for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) Act, 2018. (2) It shall come into force on the date of publication of this Act in the Official Gazette.
