The Maharashtra State Reservation (of seats for admission in educational institutions in the State and for appointments in the public services and posts under the State) for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) Act, 2018

This Act was repealed on 26 February 2024 by the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2024 (Mah. 16 of 2024), s.20(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.

8. (1) The Government may, by order in writing, entrust upon every admission authority or appointing authority or any officer under such authority, with the responsibility of ensuring the compliance with the provisions of this Act. (2) The Government may, in the like manner, invest the admission authority or appointing authority or officer with such powers or authority as may be necessary for such authority or officer, to effectively discharge such duty assigned to such authority or officer.
