Section 39. Terms of office of members of authority.

39. Terms of office of members of authority.— Save as otherwise provided by or under the provisions of this Act, the term of office of the elected, nominated, appointed or co-opted members of any authority shall be five years from the date of its first meeting, irrespective of the date on which a member enters upon such office.
