The Minimum Wages Act, 1948

This Act was repealed on 21 November 2025 by the Code on Wages, 2019 (29 of 2019), s.69(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.

7. Advisory Board.- (1) For the purpose of co-ordinating the work of 1[committees and sub-committees appointed under section 5] and advising the appropriate Government, generally in the matter of fixing and revising minimum rates of wages, the appropriate Government shall appoint an Advisory Board.
