Section 14. Grant of passes
The Mizoram Liquor (Prohibition and Control) Act, 2014
This Act was repealed on 28 May 2019 by the Mizoram Liquor (Prohibition) Act, 2019 (Act No. 8 of 2019), s.54(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
14. Grant of passes: (1) A pass for the import, export or transport, of intoxicating liquor may be issued by the Commissioner or any officer authorised by him in this behalf. (2) A pass issued under sub-section (1) may be either general for definite periods and specified kinds of intoxicating liquors or special for specified occasions and particular consignment only. (3) A pass under sub-section (1) may be issued only for the purposes of imposing and collecting duty or ensuring conformity with licence requirements and any other requirements under this Act.
