THE PRESS AND REGISTRATION OF BOOKS (EXTENSION TO LUSHAI HILLS) ACT, 1954

1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Press and Registration of Books (Extension to Lushai Hills) Act, 1954. (2) It extends to the Lushai Hills District. (3) It shall come into force at once.
2. Application of Act No.XXV of 1867 to the Lushai Hills District.—All the provisions of the Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867 as amended from time to time and the rules made thereunder, subject to any amendments to which they are for the time being subject in the rest of Assam, shall apply to the Lushai Hills District.
