1. Short title, extent and application. (1) This Act may be called the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008. (2) It extends to the whole of India and it applies also-- (a) to citizens of India outside India; (b) to persons in the service of the Government wherever they may be; 1*** (c) to persons on ships and aircrafts registered in India wherever they may be 2[and]. 2[(d) to persons who commit a Scheduled Offence beyond India against the Indian citizens or affecting the interest of India.]
