Section 16. Cognizance of offences.

16. Cognizance of offences. :- No Court shall take cognizance of any of offence offence punishable under this Act except on a report in writing of the facts constituting such offence made by any Forest Officer not below the rank of a Divisional Forest Officer or by any other officer authorised in that behalf by the Government.
