Section 42. Power to exempt.

This Act was repealed on 21 November 2025 by the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (37 of 2020), s.143(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
42. Power to exempt.—The State Government may, by order in writing, exempt, subject to such conditions and restrictions as it may think fit to impose, any employer or class of employers from all or any of the provisions of this Act: Provided that no such exemption 1[other than an exemption from section 19] shall be granted except with the previous approval of the Central Government.
