Section 57. Penalty for contravention of any lawful order

If any person wilfully contravenes any lawful order passed under this Act or obstructs any person from lawfully taking possession of any land under any of the provisions of this Act, he shall be punishable +[with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both].
