Section 11. Obligation of employer to pay wages

11. Every employer or contractor shall pay wages to a loading and unloading worker employed or engaged by him on the due date, as may be prescribed: Provided that the wages payable to any worker shall not be lower than the minimum wages prescribed under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act 11 of 1948).
