Section 69. Acquisition and use of private lands and buildings

69. Acquisition and use of private lands and buildings (1) The Government may carry any drainage, sewer or channel of any kind across and under any land or building. (2) The Government may acquire, purchase or take lease of any land or building needed for the purpose of executing works including such land as may be required: Provided that a reasonable compensation shall be payable to the owner or occupier of the land or building for any damage sustained by him through or in consequence of any such operation.
