Section 72. Restriction on discharge of trade affluents and waste

72. Restriction on discharge of trade affluents and waste (1) No trade affluent or waste materials from any trade premises, factory, workshop or work place shall be discharged or put into a public sewer or drain except under permission of and in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down by the Government and in such manner as may be directed by the Director of Health Services. (2) The local authority shall connect or cause to be connected drains and water carriage system with their main sewer or public drain on such conditions and payment as may be fixed by the local authority.
