Section 85. Planning of residential area

85. Planning of residential area No scheme of planning of new residential areas or of improvement of existing areas shall be approved or executed by a local authority unless the scheme is in accordance with the rules made under this Act and also makes suitable provisions in respect of the following matters, namely: -- (a) water supply to the inhabitants of the area for drinking and other purposes; (b) drainage and sewage disposal including the provision of public sanitary conveniences; (c) places for the disposal of carcasses of animals; and (d) burning and burial grounds.
