1. (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961. 1[(2) It extends to the whole of the States of Punjab and Haryana, the territories transferred to the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh under section 5 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966 (31 of 1966) and the Union Territory of Chandigarh] (3) It shall come into force at once.
