Section 7. Power of the State Government to give directions.

7. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary provided in any other law for the time being in force, the State Government may, in public interest, by order in writing for reasons to be recorded therein, give to the educational institutions general instructions to be followed by such institutions for the prevention of ragging.
