Section 8. Appointment, powers and duties of officers, their terms of office etc.

8. (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the powers and duties of the officers of the University other than the Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, 1[***] and the Registrar, the terms for which they shall hold office and the filing of the casual vacancies in such offices shall be provided for by the Regulations. (2) The mode of appointments, terms and conditions of service and the functions of the officers of the University, other than the Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, 2[***] and the Registrar, shall be prescribed by Regulations in so far as they are not provided herein.
