16. (1) On the commencement of this Act, the Statutes of the University shall be those set out in the Schedule. (2) 1[The Syndicate may, from time to time, make new or additional Statutes or may amend or repeal the Statutes.] (3) 2[**************** (4) **************** (5) ****************] (6) Every new Statute or addition to the Statute or any amendment or repeal of a Statute shall require the approval of the Chancellor who may sanction, disallow or remit it for further consideration.
