Section 12. Power to summon witnesses and take evidence.

12. The Regulatory Body shall, for the purpose of any enquiry under this Act, have the same powers as are vested in a civil court while trying a suit under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 in respect of the following matters, namely; - (a) enforcing the attendance of any person or examining him on oath; (b) requiring the discovery and production of documents; (c) receiving evidence on oath by way of affidavits; and (d) issuing commission for the examination of witnesses.
